Riserva Ripa Bianca
Historic parks, nature reserves, urban gardens, and sports facilities: in Jesi, nature and sport
come together, offering spaces for relaxation and high-level sporting activities
Placed at the eastern entrance to the town of Jesi, the Ripa Bianca Reserve, crossed by the Esino River, covers an area of 310 hectares and offers four natural environments:
- The river environment with numerous wetlands and riverside woodland; the most suitable habitat for many birds and amphibians species;
- The agricultural environment with a didactic area dedicated to sustainable agriculture subdivided into plots with local crops;
- The lake environment, undoubtedly the most evocative, is home to the most important heron nesting site in Le Marche, which can be observed with ease from birdwatching stations;
- The gully environment, from which the toponym Ripa Bianca derives, placed on the right bank of the Esino river. It is an alternation of small valleys and ridges created by the running waters.
