Fondazione Pergolesi-Spontini
The foundations in Jesi are key centres for cultural, artistic and social promotion,
dedicated to promoting the local area, providing education and disseminating knowledge in all its forms.
The Pergolesi Spontini Foundation, established in Jesi in 2000, directs the activities of the G.B. Pergolesi Theatre dealing mainly with live performances.
It is one of the entities recognised by the Marche Region as being of Primary Regional Interest in the structure of live performances in Le Marche and an opera production body supported by the Ministry of Culture.
The foundation organises and promotes theatre seasons in the theatres of Jesi and Maiolati Spontini. Alongside its performance activities, the foundation promotes musicological research on the two composers and is a music publisher.
It has its own set design and tailoring workshop. It is a training agency for the performing arts professions; it is an accredited body for the promotion of creativity themes and carries out educational, audience training, accessibility and social theatre projects.
