Protected by solidwalls, itwas first a monastic villa and then a castlebuilt far away from the originalbuilt-up area. From the medievalwalls and San Nicolò gate, overtopped by a rampantlion, the sightsweeps over the hillsembroidered by rows of vines. Not to be missed: the Santuario della Madonna del Soccorso dated 1646. It islocated just at the entrance of the village and issurrounded by 16th-century walls.
