Torrioncino del Montirozzo

The city walls of Jesi are dotted with turrets and watchtowers, defensive structures that for
centuries have protected the town and still bear witness to its fortified heritage.

Built in the 15th century, the Torrioncino del Montirozzo is a small tower placed to the east on the most protruding point of the walls.

The vertical and slender profile can be attributed to the 17th-century addition of a two-storey connecting tower, while the octagonal escarpment base is in harmony with the natural slope below.
