Palazzo Magagnini
Noble and civic architecture that has shaped the centuries and still
preserves the heritage and elegance of Jesi today
Placed in Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Magagnini was built in 1787 to a design by the architect Mattia Capponi.
The architect from Cupra introduces a distinctive element of contrast, represented by the large loggia and the balcony above it, with its balustrade extending across the entire facade.
The latter, with exposed brick, has a stone entrance portal that gives access to the interior rooms, some of which still have interesting grotesque decorations on the ceilings.
The wealthy Magagnini family became part of the Jesi nobility in 1609 and reached its height of prestige during the 19th century in the person of Rambaldo Magagnini, Bishop of Jesi from 1872 to 1892.
