Opera Season

Tradition, music, and local flavours bring Jesi to life all year round:
from the medieval Palio to the opera seasons at the Teatro Pergolesi, all the way to the fairs and celebrations dedicated to Verdicchio.

Since 1968, when the G.B. Pergolesi Theatre in Jesi was awarded the prestigious ministerial recognition as a “Theatre of Tradition,” the Opera Season of Tradition has been held every year during the autumn period (from October to December).

It is a high-profile cultural event, eagerly awaited by opera lovers from across the region and beyond.

Each year, the season presents a rich program of operas, bringing to the stage the great titles of the classical operatic repertoire, alongside valuable musicological rediscoveries and new contemporary productions.

Through the commissioning of new works and its commitment to enhancing the musical heritage, the Opera Season of the Pergolesi Theatre represents a national point of reference for musical culture and opera in Italy.
