Fiera di San Settimio
Tradition, music and local flavours bring Jesi to life all year round:
from the medieval Palio to the opera seasons at the Teatro Pergolesi, right through to the fairs and celebrations dedicated to Verdicchio.
The San Settimio Fair is one of the most renowned fairs in central Italy, repeated faithfully on 23rd, 24th and 25th September every year since 1304.
On the evening of 22nd September, the day of San Settimio, the traditional charity tombola draw is held from the balcony of the G.B. Pergolesi Theatre.
On the day after the event, the streets and squares of the centre are invaded by stalls, with over four hundred exhibitors from all over Italy, representing a wide variety of product sectors.”
Thousands of visitors gather in Jesi to take part in this centuries-old event, which combines religious devotion, commerce, and popular entertainment.
An unmissable event for the people of Jesi, symbolizing the city’s tradition and vitality.
