class=\"p1\">La <span class=\"s1\"><b>Chiesa di San Marco<\/b><\/span> sorge su una piccola collina a poca distanza dal centro storico di <span class=\"s1\"><b>Jesi<\/b><\/span>, appena fuori dalla <span class=\"s1\"><b>cinta muraria<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2088111 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" benedettina<\/b><\/span>, poi donata ai <span class=\"s1\"><b>francescani<\/b><\/span> \u2013 si ipotizza allo stesso <span class=\"s1\"><b>San Francesco<\/b><\/span> in occasione di una sua visita in citt\u00e0 \u2013 che ne modificarono la struttura architettonica e decorativa nella seconda met\u00e0 del <span class=\"s1\"><b>XIII secolo<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Nel <span class=\"s1\"><b>1439<\/b><\/span>, a causa di attacchi da parte di bande armate, i frati francescani furono costretti a trasferirsi all\u2019interno delle mura cittadine presso la <span class=\"s1\"><b>Chiesa di San Floriano<\/b><\/span>. Abbandonata per secoli, la chiesa venne successivamente <span class=\"s1\"><b>restaurata nel XIX secolo<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">La <\/span><b>facciata<\/b><span class=\"s1\">, in laterizio, presenta un <\/span><b>portale in marmo bianco<\/b><span class=\"s1\"> sormontato da un <\/span><b>rosone in terracotta<\/b><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p2\">L\u2019<span class=\"s2\"><b>interno<\/b><\/span>, a tre navate divise da pilastri ottagonali che sorreggono archi a sesto acuto e volte a crociera, custodisce i resti di un <span class=\"s2\"><b>importante ciclo di affreschi trecenteschi<\/b><\/span> di scuola riminese, tra cui una grande e splendida <span class=\"s2\"><b>Crocifissione<\/b><\/span> sull\u2019arcata gotica dell\u2019abside, l\u2019<span class=\"s2\"><b>Annunciazione<\/b><\/span> in fondo alla navata destra e la <span class=\"s2\"><b>Dormitio Virginis<\/b><\/span> sulla parete destra.<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Il resto della decorazione \u00e8 frutto del restauro di met\u00e0 Ottocento ad opera dell\u2019<span class=\"s2\"><b>architetto Angelo Angelucci<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Oggi la chiesa \u00e8 <span class=\"s2\"><b>gestita dalle Monache Carmelitane<\/b><\/span>, che occupano il monastero
